Our mission has been to bring clients a truly great experience and quality finished product. My first company (Royal Elegance Painting) became registered in 2009, and I immediately gave it everything I had. Going door to door selling my services at extremely low rates, just to show what I could do. I painted family and friends homes so they could spread the word, eventually building a large enough client base that I could hire someone to train and help with the workload. After 8 years in business, I decided to rebrand so I registered Durham Painting Co. in early 2018. We have always kept clean books and run a legitimate company and not a day goes by that I am not trying to improve or better our client’s experience with us.

We pride ourselves on keeping a clean & organized work site. Whether we are working in an occupied home or during a renovation we take many extra steps to ensure dust or debris stays in the affected area and cleaned daily. All of your contents, cabinets, fixtures and much more are protected with plastic. We keep our tools in a designated spot in your home while working and leave the space clean and organized each day before packing up for the day.

About the Owner
My name is Josh Kiatipis, I have a beautiful wife, 2 dogs, loving family & great friends that we love spending time with. I have 2 siblings, a Brother & Sister who both live far away – one is in Australia and the other in British Columbia but they visit often. The outdoors is usually where you will find me, either relaxing at our family cottage in Minden or at home working on our house in Oshawa.
From a young age I dreamed of owning my own business. Being a blue-collar guy it was clear which path to take in order to utilize my skills and passion to provide the ultimate customer experience. It has been a great journey with plenty of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change it for anything!
